The Mystic Market
The Market: A 30 Ft long converted school bus. It runs on bio-fuels!
Seismo pal, The Mystic Market is a converted 30 ft school bus which functions as a weekly saturday afternoon farmers market. The project offers farm fresh, local grown organic fruits and vegetables to the low income tenants of The Mystic Housing Development.
It was real food bargains galore when we visited last saturday.
In an inflated gastro - culture, where organic fennel will set you back $4.99 a piece at Whole Foods, we were surely grateful to come away with a couple of stalks priced at $1.00 each.
As a bonus for shopping the market, neighborhood kids are on hand offering $1.00 manicures and temporary tattoos at a quarter per application.
Mystic Market accepts EBT, credit cards and cash monies. Visit and LIKE their Facebook page, here.
Below are a few more cheerful and hazy cell phone pics we took:
affordable organic produce. weird.
$1 fennel
not a pyramid scheme...it's really $1 fennel
organic radicchio...$1
garlic scapes
nightshades on the cheap
feed yourself, and your rabbits
the locals
garden grown herbs for sale
shoppers
all shopped out
above the law
honk if you love affordable organic real food for all...
